ARTIST BIO

Hi there, I'm Sophie! A Primary School Art Teacher by day and passionate printmaker by night. As a member of The Peninsula Printmakers, I love the 'family' of artists I am getting to know along the Mornington Peninsula.

My chosen medium is lino cutting and printing. The calm you feel whilst carving the linolum. The excitement and surprise when pulling a print. Joy fills the studio during the printing process.

I create works based on a variety of subject matter from animals to streetscapes. Where I find inspiration, I'm happy to go. My prints comprise single and multi-block prints, watercolour painted works and large scale jigsaw prints.

Learining and building skils is a neverending journey of a printmaker, and it's fabulous!
