Falling Into Place by Helen French

Features

ARTIST NOTES: Inspired by the task we have all undertaken to start the rebuilding of networks, renewing old friendships, and establishing new pathways. Falling into Place talks about how life has changed, old friendships and networks may, or may not have survived. But in the end it all falls naturally into a new pattern, one that reflects where we are right now.
A riot of colours, patterns, and hidden surprises is offset by an indigo and cream background, a sense of individual relationships tumbling down to resettle in place. The more you look at this painting, the more it reveals.
Framed in a beautiful natural oak float frame.
Acrylics and mixed media, with a clear satin varnish to protect the surface. With signed Certificate of Authenticity

ARTIST BIO

My art is always changing, with the seasons, the natural environment around me, and with the changes in my life.  I usually take  an intuitive approach to my paintings, drawing on thoughts and ideas from dreams, hopes and desires, expressing my current state of being in my art.    The results are complex, largely abstract, although sometimes with vaguely recognisable imagery, always intended to evoke a response, to make the viewer feel something....at least that's the plan.

After a lifetime of exploring various media, I'm now most comfortable using acrylics with added touches of other media, collage, textiles, drawing tools, and sometimes bits of nature.
