Welcome to our inaugural Hastings Art Show! The Show is raising funds for rebuilding the Holy Trinity Community Op Shop, which is a major donor to services throughout the community. While enjoying viewing, and the chance to buy artworks from talented Australian artists, you will also be contributing to restoring this key community function.
Over many years, the Holy Trinity Community Op Shop has contributed many thousands of dollars in funding to services in Hastings, Tyabb, Bittern, Crib Point and beyond. The shop was housed in the original Anglican Church building, a heritage-listed timber structure that in 2018 caught fire and burned to the ground. Since then the Op Shop has operated out of a cramped portable, but rebuilding plans are Council-approved and the new project is just about ready to go.
Our main community recipients – Westernport CFA, Hastings Seafarers’ Centre, Westernport Community Centre, Westernport Secondary College, Hastings Primary School, Wallaroo Primary School and others – are enthusiastically cheering on our rebuild. The Op Shop also provides assistance to community benefit services including emergency relief, with goods and clothing, and local projects as the need arises.
The Art Show Committee appreciates the support of generous sponsors throughout the business and services sector (see banners below) who are helping make this Show possible. We hope you’ll support them, and us, while viewing a stimulating and entertaining Art Show 2022. The ‘Physical’ show runs from Friday 22 to Saturday 23 April, but the ‘Virtual’ show will be available on our website, with many more artworks on display and for sale, until Saturday 30 April.
